Her partner, Omri Miran, was kidnapped on October 7th, and is being held in Gaza

Lishay Lavi, Director of the Mechina Pre-Academic Programs at Sapir briefed the College’s faculty on her ongoing journey to free her partner and all the other abductees. Lishay’s beloved partner and father of her two daughters, Omri Miran, was kidnapped and has been held in in Gaza for over 5 months.

Courageously and openly, Lishay shared with the College’s faculty, her family’s moments of horror on the morning of October 7th, at her home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz. From the start of the missile attacks, through the kidnapping of her partner Omri Miran and their neighbor Tzachi Idan; to the eventual rescue from the Kibbutz. Lishay described her life as a member of a "kidnapped family", living in temporary accommodation, and of the ongoing efforts to increase public awareness and free the abductees; alongside her struggles as a mother of two small toddlers.

We are all hoping for a quick release of all the abductees and their speedy return to their families.
