Sapir's School of Audio & Visual Arts not only teaches and trains filmmakers of the future; it initiates and promotes filmmaking in the south, now! Through local Negev based labs and initiatives, we connect our first rate faculty together with filmmakers from the south, throughout Israel and internationally to our graduates who plan to create film in the south. These include:

Studio Darom (South)

"Studio Darom" is a five-day international Workshop that serves as a platform for young creators' cinematic projects in Israel and globally, as well as an entry to the co-production market. Designed for new producers and directors who are interested in promoting their first or second feature-length project to Europe. Israeli and European cinema professionals provide workshops. The Workshop culminates in a pitching event in which participants present their projects to film industry experts.
