The Research Authority is entrusted with promoting research across the college, while handling the college’s research and creativity budget.

Its main responsibilities are:

• Allocating sabbaticals to outstanding scholars.
• Allocating personal research funds.
• Allocating annual teaching reductions to staff members, for their outstanding contributions to research and creativity.
• Allocating salary increments for outstanding research, creativity, teaching, and community contributions.
• Support and funding support in writing competitive research proposals.
• Budget management for winning research funds.
• Approving outstanding expenses of staff members through the special funds mechanism.
• Identifying and disseminating information concerning academic scholarships and events.
