The accelerated development of technology together with the urgent needs of industry, have created a high demand for Biotech Practical Engineering.  A modern, innovative and multidisciplinary profession, it combines natural, life and exact sciences together with engineering, utilizing biological process for the benefit of humanity and the environment.

Sapir's Biotech Practical Engineering Diploma is committed to providing maximum professionalism and uncompromising quality while constantly updating research with interesting theoretical materials; as well as integrating advanced scientific tools with practical laboratory experience. Students gain the requisite skills to leverage the potential of microorganisms, plant and animal cells and their components.

Students are equipped with broad knowledge and a practical skillset, along with adaptability, lifelong learning and implementation abilities, to successfully address the challenges of the fast pace of innovation in the dynamic Biotech industry.

Special Programs

Intel: Students in their final year can participate in Intel's College Program. Intel offers an attractive salary package and benefits; recruitment and relocation grant; English course; and a work contract offered during the school term to start work immediately upon graduation

Israel's Southern Research and Development (R&D) Center: One of the first research and development farms in Israel, the Southern R&D Center develops agricultural solutions and designs new production technologies. The Center serves the Regional Councils of Eshkol, Sdot Negev, and Merchavim, in collaboration with the JNF, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Negev and Galilee Development Division, the Jewish Agency's Settlement Division, the Agricultural Research Institute, institutes and universities, and other regional R&D initiatives.

Sapir's Biotech Practical Engineering track collaborates with the Southern R&D Center to provide students with innovative knowledge together with training and enrichment programs such as site visits, guest lectures and professional seminars. In addition, students can intern and participate in joint research for their final project.

Alumni Careers

Graduates work as professional Biotech Practical Engineering, research and development workers, team leaders, lab managers, project leaders, responsible for quality assurance and many other diverse roles. Alumni have the capabilities and tools for a wide range of technological and industrial applications in the chemical, biochemical, and biological fields.
