Dr. Sagit Azari Wiesel from Sapir Academic College's Department of Public Administration and Policy and the Department of Economics and Accounting, together with Dr. Sharon Hadad, Head of the Department of Economics, have been awarded an inter institutional grant to establish an Applied Regional Development Research Institute. Over the past six months, Dr. Azari Wiesel and Dr. Hadad have led the initiative to establish the institute.

Prof. Lihi Lahat, Associate Professor in the Department of Public Administration and Policy at Sapir Academic College, has been awarded a prestigious research grant from the German Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development (GIF).
