Last week Sapir College hosted a special Demo Day in partnership with KKL-JNF, showcasing ventures developed by students and entrepreneurs through Sapir’s campus and regional entrepreneurship programs, H.I. B’Sapir and H.I. in the Region.
The projects presented practical ideas across technology, sustainability, agriculture, tourism, culture, and community. Among them were technologies designed to turn waste into valuable resources, generate small-scale energy through irrigation systems, and recycle end-of-life tires into industrial raw materials, alongside initiatives focused on local tourism, music, and community life.
The Demo Day brought the entrepreneurs together with KKL-JNF professionals, including Prof. Doron Markel, Chief Scientist of KKL-JNF, to examine how these ideas can respond to real needs and develop into viable ventures. The partnership provided participants with the perspective of an organization working directly with environmental, agricultural, and regional challenges.
Both programs offer participants mentoring, professional tools, industry connections, and opportunities to test and develop their ideas. Sapir’s campus entrepreneurship program, H.I. B’Sapir, connects students, faculty, entrepreneurs, and industry through multidisciplinary innovation labs, while its regional entrepreneurship program, H.I. in the Region, supports entrepreneurs in more advanced stages through professional mentoring and strategic connections.
