Southern Exposure | A selection of the works of the School of Audio and Visual Arts over the years

Specially curated by the Cinema South Festival team and the School of Audio and Visual Arts in Sapir, in which works from all years and all genres will be screened, reflecting the way that the reality of life in Sderot and the border communities has permeated over the years into the work of the young filmmakers. In a contemporary viewing of these works, in the world after October 7, a prophetic dimension and a sometimes tragic layer is added to the original and innocent viewpoints of the creators. This collection invites the general public to become acquainted with a picture of local, southern life, in which beauty and pain are interwoven together.

The works in the program were collected from:
The New Cinema South Competition - the final films of the graduates of the Audio and Visual Arts School at Sapir (2001-2022)
Special projects of the school: "Daka Darom", "Sderotim", "Documentary animation", "South of here: the hungry road", "There are no emotionally injured", and more.
