Israel | 2006 | 54 Min. | Hebrew, Yiddish, English | English Sub | Documentary
The film explores the ideological and social worlds of Yoel and Israel: two radically different ultra-orthodox men — one zealous and reclusive, the other open and actively engaged with the system. Over the course of about two years, the film follows their work pasting pashkevils (broadside posters) throughout Jerusalem’s streets, capturing both their public actions and their private lives.
This is one of the first documentaries to enter the inner life of extreme haredi group Neturei Karta, portraying them through their daily routines and the messages they place in their pashkevils.
