The School of Sound and Screen Arts at Sapir Academic College was the first to combine academic studies alongside a specialization in television studies, with an emphasis on developing and producing quality and innovative content.
During the school's 20 years of activity, students have been accepted to significant roles in the television industry, including graduates responsible for impressive and successful productions - including Ron Feldman, who developed the TV series "Ron" during his studies at the school; Sahar Shavit with "BlackSpace;" Oshrit Sarussi with "This and That;" Guy Balili with "Bnei Or"; And Yuval Yefet with the "Policemen".
This year, the Southern Film Festival is holding a festive event for the first time in which students will present various projects for the development of television and network series on which they have worked for the past two years, accompanied by the best teachers. The projects will be presented to TV industry leaders, producers, creators, fund managers, and broadcasters. The event will be joined by Katia Kirby, Artistic Director at the International TV Series Festival SERIES MANIA, which is considered the most prestigious and important festival in the world in its field.
At the end of the event, there will be a festive cocktail where there will be an opportunity to meet talented creators. You are welcome to stay at the festival and enjoy a huge variety of quality work.
Pitching TV is supervised by Dr. Itai Harlap, Head of Television studies at the School of Sound and Screen Arts, Sapir Academic College.
