Deniz, 25, is the only child of Erol and Emilia, yet she still lives in her parents’ home in Bat Yam. Following the death of the last grandfather and the worsening of Israel-Turkey relations in the aftermath of October 7th, Errol decides it is time to fulfill the vow he and Emilia made in their youth- to return to their native Turkey. Born in Israel, Deniz enters a silent struggle against her parents when she realizes she is not invited to join them. She begins a process of separation, forcibly severing herself from the bonds of childhood toward adulthood.
