The research focuses on measuring allostatic load, a biological indicator that reflects the cumulative impact of prolonged exposure to stress and ongoing security threats on the human body. The researchers aim to develop a smart dashboard that will translate medical, demographic, and community data into actionable insights for local government decision makers and healthcare professionals.

The system will help identify at risk populations and support the planning of early interventions for disease prevention and timely treatment, while enabling more targeted allocation of resources. The researchers aspire to position Sderot as a pioneering model for data driven community health, based on a proactive approach to risk identification, early prevention, and the strengthening of urban and community resilience.
