Sapir College and Adi Negev-Nahlat Eran Graduate Class of 2024.

On Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Sapir College celebrated a special graduation ceremony for participants of the Computers and Life Skills Program, held in partnership with the Adi Negev-Nahlat Eran Rehabilitation Village. The program's graduates, many of whom are employed within Adi Negev-Nahlat Eran, completed training designed to empower individuals with disabilities to thrive in the general job market and gain greater confidence in their personal, economic, and professional lives.

The Sapir-Adi Negev program provided participants with critical job skills and strategies for building resilience and independence, enabling them to succeed in diverse employment fields. Graduates received training in areas such as workplace adaptability, communication, occupational skills, and interpersonal relations, preparing them for roles in landscape and gardening, agriculture, safaris and horse farms, special education settings, maintenance, administration, and positions at Adi Negev's Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center.

Prof. Nir Kedar, President of Sapir College, spoke at the ceremony, highlighting the significance of this partnership: “As a college deeply rooted in our regional community, we are committed to fostering knowledge and creating opportunities for all. Knowledge is empowering; it enriches every aspect of our lives. This collaboration between Sapir and Adi Negev is truly inspiring, and we look forward to expanding this joint initiative to include more courses and activities in the future. Sapir is your home.”

Avi Wortzman, CEO of Adi Negev - Nahlat Eran, also addressed the graduates, expressing his gratitude for the successful collaboration: “Today marks an important milestone in our work with Sapir College. To our graduates—you inspire respect, pride, and admiration through your dedication and hard work. I echo President Kedar’s vision: together, we will continue to create opportunities and provide the tools you need to reach new heights. Our partnership with Sapir is strong and will continue to expand in the years to come.”
