In recent years, the need has emerged to regulate the role of the industrial safety officer under the Practical Engineer title, making this true calling a proper profession.
The Practical Safety Engineer track is a collaboration between the Labor Inspection Department and MAHAT - The Government Institute for Training in Technology and Science, aimed to offers solutions to the Israeli industry, driven by a genuine need and will to train safety workers in organizations as professionals who deliver responsibility, precision and management skills geared towards today’s world of technological employment.
The Practical Safety Engineer is tasked with championing safety in their organization and implementing the safety policy in the workplace. They are integral to the organization’s management team, driven by genuine concern for workers and the view of the organization as safe workplace that ensures employees’ welfare.
The Practical Safety Engineer qualification incorporates ample knowledge and regulatory certification to serve in a key, major industry role, comprising three certifications:
- Work Safety Officer
- Crowd Safety Officer
- Ionizing Radiation Safety Officer (Subject To Ministry Of Environmental Protection Requirements)
