Sana and Annu, a grandmother and her six-year-old granddaughter, live together in a Druze village in the Galilee.
The day before Annu is set to move to Haifa with her parents, she loses consciousness. When she wakes up, she whispers to her grandmother: “You will find my children in Syria.”
Convinced that Annu is the reincarnation of her sister Muna, who was killed in the war, Sana is deeply moved by the revelation. But Annu’s parents attribute it to epilepsy and medication and insist that Sana stop, eventually separating the two.
Heartbroken, Sana sets out on a journey to try and cross into Syria - the land she left at seventeen. There, she uncovers what her granddaughter truly meant by her words, and what she herself has been searching for all along.
