Forum RA is a socio-cinematic initiative founded by Jalal Masarwa and Rozalin Ajbaria, which has been operating for several years with the support of the New Fund for Cinema and Television. The initiative began under the title Creating Cinema in the Triangle, and after expanding its activities, changed to its current name: RA.

The forum focuses on promoting filmmakers from Israel’s Arab community, particularly in the Triangle region, while also operating in the Galilee, northern Israel, and occasionally the south. Its mission is to provide a professional, safe, and open space for developing bold, independent cinema- films that tackle sensitive social, cultural, and political issues- driven by the belief in cinema’s power to spark dialogue and inspire change.

As part of the 24th Cinema South International Film Festival, films produced within the Forum RA framework will be screened. In addition, members of the forum will take part in various activities designed to bolster and develop connections with film professionals from Israel and abroad, and establish creative collaborations for the future.
