Farm - Studio Darom Participants 2025

Synopsis

A romantic vacation on a farm in France takes an unexpected turn when the farm owner dies, and Noa (36) and Yonatan (35) are offered the opportunity to take over the place. Managing the farm accelerates their relationship and forces them to decide what they are willing to commit to.

Roni Bahat | Director

A filmmaker and a poet. Winner of the Ministry of Culture's Award for an Emerging Filmmaker 2024.
Her recent short film BORDER is on CANAL+ since September 2024 and is broadcasted also in Israel. Her first poetry book 'm&m' was published in September 2024. Her previous short film, BEGIN, premiered in CINEMED in Montpellier and was screened at the NewFilmmakers LA (NFMLA); and OLD THING, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (tiff) and won awards in Israel. 
Roni studied writing at the Minshar School of Art and has a bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences, from The Academic College of Tel-Aviv-Yaffo. 

Jenya Maley | Producer

Graduated with honors from the Entrepreneurial Producing Track at the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School (2022).
Graduated with honors from the B.Ed.F.A. program (a Bachelor's degree in Education, Communication, and Film) at Kibbutzim College (2025).
Starting in her fourth year of studies, she worked in various roles at Black Sheep Film Productions, including as part of the production team for Season 2 of Dismissed (directed by Atara Frish, 2021).
Later, she worked at Green Productions in the development department and as distribution manager for Cinema Sabaya (directed by Orit Rotem Fuchs, winner of the Ophir Award for Best Film, 2022). She handled Oscar submissions and festival distribution for Seven Blessings and Come Closer, both winners of the Ophir Award for Best Film in 2023 and 2024.
Since May 2023, she has been working as a producer in the development department at ZOA Films (Oxygen, One Day In October, Girls Like Us).
During her studies, she directed the graduation narrative short Cholera (2024), officially selected for the Jerusalem and Tel Aviv Film Festivals. She is currently working on a feature-length documentary titled The Third Place, supported by the development lab of the New Fund for Cinema and Television and the intellectual incubator of the Van Leer Institute.
