Synopsis
Beside a cruel mechanical maw gaping in the heart of Sderot, lives Avinoam- a young man surviving his days in silence and avoidance. A surprising encounter with a strange man draws him into a world of desire, an emotional and physical journey threatened by the violent mechanisms of his family, his masculinity, and the local trauma.

Rachel Albert | Director
A filmmaker, producer, a film curator, and a graduate of the Film Studies program at Sapir College.
Her films have been screened and awarded at festivals in Israel and abroad, including “Luma”, a short black and white narrative film shot on 35mm as part of the Terra di Cinema workshop in Italy, “Clarity”, a feature length documentary produced with the support of and broadcast on the Knesset Channel “Manar”, her award‑winning graduation film, and Shelters, a short documentary acquired by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs and broadcast on local television networks. Until recently, she curated programs for Jaffa Cinema, and today she is involved in an Israeli distribution to wide audiences for independent films.

Tom Ra'anan | Producer
A film producer and co-founder of Encore Films, an independent production company established in 2018 specializing in narrative and documentary films, music videos and commercials. A graduate of Minshar School of Art, he has produced multiple award-winning works, including Killing Ourselves, winner of Best Short Film at the Jerusalem Film Festival 2022, Single Light, winner of Best Short Film at the Jerusalem Film Festival 2023, and the feature documentary 06:30, co-produced with Kan 11, which explores the events of October 7th. Tom works with leading creators in the Israeli film industry and continues to develop distinctive, independent projects.
