Congratulations to Dr. Sagit Kedem-Yamini, Senior Lecturer in the Departments of Logistics and Industrial Engineering and Management at the Faculty of Technology at Sapir College, on being named a Fellow of IEOM Society International, one of the highest honors the Society bestows upon its members.

The honor was presented last week during the Society’s 9th European Conference, held in Barcelona, with the participation of leading researchers and professionals from around the world.

IEOM Society International is one of the largest international professional societies in the fields of industrial engineering and operations management. Fellow status is awarded to members who have made significant and sustained contributions to research, teaching, and the advancement of the field internationally.
This achievement comes as the field of Industrial Engineering and Management at Sapir continues to develop. In the coming academic year, the College will launch a new degree program in Industrial Engineering and Management. In addition, Sapir is home to Israel’s first IEOM Student Chapter, enabling students to become part of an international professional community while still pursuing their studies.

Dr. Kedem-Yamini: “I am proud to receive this recognition and grateful for the opportunity to represent Sapir College and Israeli research within the international community. I believe that connections between academia and industry, together with international collaboration, are key to advancing innovation and educating the next generation of industrial engineering and management professionals.”
