This year, Cinema South Festival introduces a special joint slot:
Back-to-back pitching by students from Sapir College’s School of Sound and Screen Arts, covering both TV series and TV formats.
In the SERIES PITCH, students present projects developed over the course of their studies, walking the room through what sets the project apart, why it matters to them personally, and where it could go next – from creative directions to potential broadcasters and platforms.
The FORMAT PITCH showcases original concepts born out of the school’s TV and Digital Format Development Lab. Each format has been through a full development arc, from initial idea, through research and world-building, to fully-realized concept complete with tone and language – all mentored throughout the year with a focus on originality and creative teamwork.
Both pitches share the stage, presented back-to-back before the same panel of judges from Israel’s TV industry. Standout projects walk away with professional mentorship or development grants.
