Berish, a Haredi man in his early forties with a mild cognitive disability, lives on the margins of his community and makes a living by soliciting donations. When Feivish, a successful community activist from the United States, arrives, Berish finds his iPhone — a forbidden device in many Haredi communities — and sees it as an opportunity to get closer to him. Feivish denies owning the device, and the conflict between them escalates amid pressure from the community.
