How does one overcome fear of the unknown? Deaf 8-year-old Ron is scared of his first camping trip. His mother tries to calm him down and tells him about Eddie the Camper, a friendly monster who is the best friend one can have on a nature adventure. Despite her efforts, Ron’s fear of the trip persists.
After falling into a deep sleep, however, Ron wakes up in a surreal forest where he meets YOU, the user, embodied as Eddie the Camper - and the two of you embark on an adventure. Yet there’s an obstacle: Ron can’t hear you and you don’t speak sign language.
As you proceed through the approximately 25-minute interactive experience, you will work with Ron to complete tasks, navigate the forest, and learn basic sign language along the way.
Will the two of you be able to bridge your differences, overcome communication barriers - and successfully complete the adventure?

On the Morning You Wake | Mike Brett, Steve Jamison, Arnaud Colinart and Pierre Zandrowicz

2022 | English, French
On January 13th 2018, 1.4m people across Hawai’i received an SMS from the state’s Emergency Management Agency:
BALLISTIC MISSILE THREAT INBOUND TO HAWAII. SEEK IMMEDIATE SHELTER. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
In the minutes that followed, they were forced to confront existential questions that had been unthinkable just moments before: where could they go for shelter? What would remain of their communities if they survived a nuclear blast? How could they explain to their children why we live in a world where such unimaginable destruction was possible? And how could their own Government continue to pursue nuclear policies that threaten the entire global population every day?
By the time FEMA managed to retract the incorrect warning message, it was too late to pretend that normality would resume. Their collective experience had laid bare the growing threat that nuclear weapons pose to the world. In the words of Kauai resident Cynthia Lazaroff, ‘Nothing happened, but everything changed’.
