This lecture explores the working process and creative thinking involved in costume design for film projects. It will address the professional aspects of costume design, the relationship between the director, producer, actors, and costume designer, and how different directing styles influence the work.
It will also delve into the collaboration between departments on set, working within budget limitations, and the differences between costume design for Israeli productions and international or co-produced films.
Inbal Shuki is a renowned costume designer for film and television with over 33 years of experience. She is a four-time Ophir Award winner for Best Costume Design and has received numerous other awards in the field. Inbal serves on the Israeli Film Council and lectures on costume design for cinema and television. Her work spans Israeli productions, international projects, and co-productions both in Israel and abroad.
